Warranty FAQ

What does your 25-year workmanship warranty cover?
Our workmanship warranty covers all labor and installation work performed by our crew. If a leak, failure, or defect results from our installation — not from material defect, weather events, or third-party damage — we repair it at no cost to you. This includes flashing, sealing, fastening, and underlayment work.
What voids the workmanship warranty?
Unauthorized modifications to the roof (by you or another contractor), failure to maintain the roof (we recommend annual inspections), physical damage from events not covered by insurance, and structural modifications to the home that affect the roof system. Normal wear and tear on materials is covered by the manufacturer warranty, not our workmanship warranty.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell my home?
Yes. Our workmanship warranty transfers to the new homeowner at no cost. We provide a warranty transfer letter that you can include in your closing documents. This is a valuable selling point for your home.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call us at (555) 123-4567 or submit a request through our website. We schedule an inspection within 5 business days (sooner for active leaks). If the issue is covered by our warranty, we repair it at no cost. We document the repair with photos for your records.
What is the difference between workmanship and manufacturer warranty?
Workmanship warranty (ours) covers installation quality — how the materials were applied. Manufacturer warranty covers the materials themselves — if a shingle fails prematurely due to a manufacturing defect. You need both for full protection. We ensure your installation meets manufacturer specifications so both warranties remain valid.
Do I need to maintain my roof to keep the warranty valid?
Yes. Most manufacturer warranties require documented maintenance. Our annual maintenance program satisfies this requirement and provides the records to prove it. We recommend annual inspections at minimum — more frequently for homes under heavy tree canopy.
